How the catalogue, pricing and orders work.
What is TradeCatalog?
TradeCatalog is an online trade catalogue and price list for manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and trade suppliers. You import your existing spreadsheet, and each trade customer signs in to search your products, see the prices agreed for their account and send orders. One monthly plan covers your business and your whole team.
How is it different from emailing a spreadsheet or PDF price list?
Customers search one up-to-date catalogue by SKU, manufacturer reference, brand or category instead of hunting through attachments, and they only ever see their own prices. When prices change, each customer is emailed only the lines that affect them, with old and new prices.
Can each trade customer have different prices?
Yes. Set a percentage off everything for a customer, a percentage off a brand or category, or an agreed fixed price on an item. The most specific rule wins and discounts never stack, so every price can be explained.
How do I get my products and prices in?
Upload a CSV or Excel file, match your columns (for example "Part No" to SKU), fix any rows it flags, and publish. It understands £ signs, pence such as 12.5p, thousands separators and older Windows spreadsheet files.
What happens when my prices go up?
Create a price change from a new spreadsheet or a percentage rise, preview who is affected, and schedule it for a date such as the 1st of the month. It switches over automatically on that day, and customers can download their own price list at any time.
Do customers pay through TradeCatalog?
No. Orders are sent to you and your customer by email and tracked through new, acknowledged, dispatched and completed. You invoice and take payment exactly as you do today.
How much does it cost?
One plan for your business: £29, US$39, €35, A$59 or C$55 a month, with unlimited team members, trade customers, buyer logins, products and orders. You pay in the currency for where you are: GBP in the UK, AUD in Australia, CAD in Canada, EUR in the rest of Europe and USD everywhere else. There is a 14-day free trial and you can cancel at any time. Tax is added at checkout where it applies.
Can my team use it too?
Yes. Create your business workspace, then invite your team. Everyone gets their own sign-in. Team members can manage products, prices, customers and orders; owners also manage team access and billing. Your customers have separate buyer access and only see their own account prices.
