# TradeCatalog

> TradeCatalog (https://tradecatalog.app) is an online trade catalogue and price list for suppliers, wholesalers and distributors. A supplier imports their existing spreadsheet; each trade customer signs in, searches the products, sees the prices agreed for their account and sends orders. £29 a month, 14-day free trial. ## What it does

- Imports products and prices from CSV or Excel, with column matching and error checks (handles £ signs, pence such as 12.5p, Windows spreadsheet files, and price lists grouped under section headings). Before publishing, the supplier sees new products, price changes (large ones flagged) and products missing from the file. Each supplier's column choices are remembered, so the next file in the same layout matches itself.
- Staff can view the catalogue as any customer: only the products that customer can see, at their price, with the reason.
- Each supplier has its own database, placed in the Cloudflare region nearest them (Western Europe for UK suppliers); nightly backups are kept for 90 days.
- Per-customer pricing: a percentage off everything, a percentage off a brand or category, or an agreed fixed price per item. The most specific rule wins; discounts never stack.
- Search by SKU, manufacturer reference, name, brand or category.
- Scheduled price changes with an effective date; each customer is emailed only their own old and new prices; customers can download their own price list as CSV.
- Orders are requests: emailed to the supplier and the buyer, tracked as new, acknowledged, dispatched, completed. The supplier invoices and takes payment as usual.
- Activity log of who changed which customer's prices; support tickets; full data export and deletion.

## Who it is for

UK and international trade suppliers (fixings, ironmongery, building supplies, industrial and engineering parts, and similar) who currently send price lists as spreadsheets or PDFs, and their trade customers (builders, joiners, contractors, installers).
